About the project
Consent is an important issue for all members of the European Union, as it is recognised as a fundamental human right. Understanding the importance of consent is key to building healthy relationships, preventing sexual assault and harassment, and creating a safer and more inclusive society.
ACT4CONSENT intends to develop a new approach to education to support secondary school teachers and other youth educators in dealing with the issue of consent directly with young people, through active and meaningful educational interventions.
ACT4CONSENT will develop and implement:
- Continuous professional development for teachers and counselors, including educational resources for teachers and educators to address the issue of consent and a massive open online learning (MOOC) platform.
- ACT4CONSENT – A drama and storytelling resource pack for talking about consent, including classroom activities for students and self-study materials for parents and students.
- Piloting and promotional events in each country
